  • ‘Remember Luke……..do not underestimate the power of the bouncer’
My favorite Clive Lloyd moments was when World Series Cricket first hit the scene back in the late 70’s. Channel 9 hosted a Family Feud celebrity show hosted by Tony Barber and the two teams included players from Aust and West Indies.
Ian Chappell and Clive Lloyd eyeballed each other at the start of the show and Tony Barber aksed the question ‘Name A Favorite Cricket Term?’
Like a flash Clive Lloyd hit the buzzer and yelled “GOOGLY”
Amazingly googly wasn’t in the top ten cricket terms!!!!

    • Great memories, Smuk – and classic Australian TV folklore stuff…I can’t believe Googly wasn’t in the top ten though..who the hell was in this survey of 100 studio audience dunces?
